Monster Island, the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, came out around the same date as Godzilla King of the Monsters. The film is about an island with a monstrous creature that lives on it. The island itself acts as a metaphor.


Asylum, a low-budget movie, focuses on a very small number of people and has its (Monster Island (2019) by Decker Shado) A-listers gathered in one place so they can shoot all the sequences at lunch. Nonetheless, let us not forget that this is a kaiju film, and that, well... is sort of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it?
